Lecturer - Senior Lecturer - Associate Professor - Stochastic and Statistical Modelling

Friday Apr 10, 11:48AM

The University of Technology Sydney Department of Mathematical Sciences is a leader in statistical and stochastic modelling and members of the department contribute to modelling in a diverse range of areas, including discrete choice modelling and quantitative risk management (including quantitative finance and stochastic numerical methods).

We are looking to extend our involvement in modelling by making two appointments, one with a focus on mathematical and numerical modelling of stochastic phenomena and the other with a focus on statistical design and analysis. We expect that the appointees will also seek to engage with other groups in the Faculty of Science in the environmental and biological sciences and extend the Department’s modelling work in new directions driven by emerging applications of quantitative risk management, choice modelling, and statistical design and analysis in these areas.

These positions are an excellent career progression for candidates who have a background in academic teaching and a deep knowledge in the relevant disciplines

Contract Type: Fixed term, 5 years

Qualification Level: PhD/Doctorate - High level academic and professional qualifications in the relevant discipline area or equivalent accreditation standing
